I used to think that life was just about having things
So I struggled to get to the top trying to make it big

I had fake role models I wanted to lead me

Not knowing that Jesus died for my sins at the cross
Gave me a brand new life that I could live at no cost

I chose Christ in stead
And I pray you choose Christ too

I fell in love with a strange kind of girl

She seduced me and made me think that I could have the world

His name is Jesus Christ the anointed prince of peace 
He was the baby in a manger that saved me from my desires
And set me up for a higher calling than what I acquired 
Filled me with fire and he sent me on a mission field 
Now I gotta proclaim to the earth that he is real
Christ be the king 
The ruler of everything
He gave me a life 
That is the reason why I sing

Especially when I discovered that he had paid the price
He broke the chains and delivered me from every vice
I drank the living water now I have eternal life
But even though am still living 
Am really dead
And it's not me living but it's Christ in stead
So I represent His name in each and every way 
In the way I live and even in the things I say 
Living a life that is worthy of the gospel 
That's why I dig deep as I get into the bible 
Cause I really wanna be more than just a disciple 
Or even a soldier who's not armed with a rifle 
This is not a game 
It's a battle that's against flesh 
And with Christ by our side we're definitely gonna win 
If  He did it back then He's gonna do it again 
Trust Him with your life
