Of her life
She had chores to do
And people to save
Food to give out
Or the people will
Starve and die

"It's a boring life

So pursing her lips
She walked out of the gates
In a bright red floral print dress
And she walked down to
The corner store
To buy a loaf of bread
And she walked to the park
Where she used to play
Hide and seek
And kissy-kissy behind the bushes

Sister Mary went to get a job
As a secretary
And aspired to get into business
She took night classes
At the local college
And visited the convent
Every now and then

And when she closed her eyes at night
In the apartment with the dripping roof
She could hear the cars go by
And had visions of God 
Laughing when the thunder roared in

Sister Mary was a visionary
She saw God in a big blue robe
He came to sit beside her bed
Every night
But when she woke in the morning
He was gone

And she went to work in her 
Bright red floral print dresses
And spoke of her visions to her friends
At lunch
They all laughed together
And had some marijuana
But they all thought the visions
Had made Mary blind

So when it came time for Mary
To buy her own computer
She wanted one with good graphics
So in the middle of the night
When God was in her room
She could be inspired
To draw pictures of Him as he slept

But when she woke in the morning
The screen was always blank

But finally one morning
When the thunder was roaring
And God was laughing in her mind
He came to her
Knocking on her screen
She let Him in
And recorded it
On a disk
And later that day 
She took her computer
Back to the convent
To let every one of her friends
Play "God"

Well, they all enjoyed the game
And when they won 
They felt much better
About everything 
They weren't doing
