Let me tell you about a girl named Charlie
Born in 95 almost died, loved hardly
Mother was high at her birth not partly
No love and no birthday party
Father beat her into submission
Only a child when she learnt her position
Contracted illness and countless conditions
Dreams of dancing but they were only visions
Age 5 she was gifted with a brother
Sweet and innocent and eyes of his mother
His name was Michael what a sight to uncover
Charlie vowed they'd always have each other
Age 12 got her first taste of freedom
Had to steal food because her mother couldn't feed them
Never even wanted to but knew she had to keep them
Poor souls she robbed from they couldn't eat either
One day her dad started screaming
More abuse, Charlie wished she was dreaming 
Mother screaming Morphine Fiending
Charlie grabbed a knife, his turn for bleeding 
No more violence and no more death threats 
At least that's what she thought but guess what came next
Dad survived, Charlie filled with regrets
Goodbye to her brother, that gave her most stress
Living on the street met an odd man called tim
Robbed off the road she became his victim
Scratched and Clawed and even kicked him
Couldn't stop it now she's 6 months pregnant
Deja vu what an evil cycle
She'll be a better mother she'll call him michael
He'll learn wrong from right, he'll learn to recycle
He'll learn to respect and to be insightful

Charlie is stressing, coz the rents due
Very cold hands they're starting to go blue
Paid for mikes gloves she can't afford hers too
She's doing whatever to make sure the rents paid
Taking drugs to help numb the pain
Soon she'll be shooting tryna find veins
A hit from a cane, a bleed on the brain
Now this story starts to get better
She worked hard can afford a sweater
Mike's a good kid like his father never 
Doing good at school Charlie knew he'd be clever
Even though she knew they never could thrive
Michael was the one that was keeping her alive
Everytime he laughs it brings her tear to her eye 
Always beside, her purpose in life
The past behind her Charlie looks to the future
Every wound she got michael was the suture 
At christmas he got a brand scooter
Life's great, what a junior
