Persecution complexes, obsessed with, being 
Detested, measurements of what success is
Rooted in praise, possessions, pleasure and pedestals, 
Wealth immeasurable, no wonder we can never get full 
Perceptions are deceptive, optics often co-opted

In unflattering lights we critique ourselves
The ways that we speak to and treat ourselves? 
Must endeavor to be better, 'cause seeds need investors 
They need teachers, mentors, who will inform them 
That life's too short for living lukewarm
Shoehorned into a uniform you abhor

Indulge in what's healthy, useful
