Monster trucks and baby dolls
Crayons that have left their mark on the walls
Sounds of stomping feet and slamming doors
A landmine of Legos that used to be our floor
We got toys strung all over the yard
In every room of the house, and all over the car
Is it too much to ask for y'all to keep this place clean
And stop using the couch as an indoor trampoline
What is this throbbing that my head is feeling
Trying to figure out how toothpaste ended up on the ceiling
I found the whereabouts of Mama's missing hairbrush
I guess we need to make a list of things we ain't supposed to flush

Well we've got our hands full, Baby
Some days I fear
That we might be going crazy
But one thing is clear
Children live here

Yes they do

We have fixed up some boo-boos and we've dried up some tears
We've had our share of laughter, and also some fear
We've had reasons to scold, and reasons to cheer
We wonder what they're gonna be like when they hit their teenage years
But one thing for sure I wouldn't trade for the world
Is being Daddy to that boy, and those two precious girls
And there's no denying the joy that they bring
There's no song that can match the one they cause my heart to sing

So we've got our hands full, Baby
Some days they drive us insane
But we would be going crazy
To want it any other way
God gave us these priceless treasures
That we both hold so dear
The handiwork of the Father is incredibly clear
In the children that live here

Well I can make 'em laugh at the silliest things
I could sit all day and listen to their little voices sing
Our home is a castle, and they can think I'm the king
But I'm entrusted to give them the most important thing
Father, help me live what I say I believe
Help my children to see more of You 
And much less of me
'Cause I could really mess 'em up
And I wouldn't even need to try
So help me point them all to You
And not leave room for compromise

'Cause one day we'll turn around
To find our babies have all up and gone
They'll be off to face the world
Away from the comforts of home
The best thing we can do
Is point them all to You
So we don't waste these precious years
While the children live here
