How many times have you ran over me?
How many times have you left me on scene?
Still I'm the one who kept you going when you fell to your knees
The one who kept you going when you no longer believed
You chased our love away
You couldn't share the bright lights on your stage
And everything you did you said you had to choose
And everything you choose leaves me alone and confused
Like a deer in the road
In the headlights... (The Headlights)
I'm a deer in the road
Left broken and bruised
Struck down by your lies
Now I know the truth
You used me
Deer in the road
In The Headlights (The Headlights)
Everyones telling me that it's easy to see
I gave my heart to you
You stole my soul from me
You used me.
You were so dangerous
But I was so curious
To be loved when you're broken
Who can you trust?
I think about you when I'm dizzy
From this red wine's rush
Now these lonely nights speak your name
You're the only thing I think about you're in my brain
Everyday I think about you
The rumors I true I still want you...
Deer in the road
In the headlights (The headlights)
I'm a deer in the road
Left broken and bruised
Struck down by your lies
Now I know the truth...
You used me...
Deer in the road
In the headlights (The headlights)
Everyone's telling me that it's easy to see
I gave my heart to you, you stole my soul from me
You used me
Everything feels the same
Been hoping that things will change
So much harder to escape the constant image of your face
It's still what I see
Why did you leave me?
Like a deer in the road
In the headlights (The headlights)
I'm a deer in the road
Left broken and bruised
Struck down by your lies
Now I know the truth
You used me
Deer in the road
In the headlights
(The headlights)
Everyone's telling me that it's easy to see I gave my heart to you
You stole my soul from me
You used me
You used me
You used me
You used me
