Once upon a time
I reflected on a period prior to mine
In retrospect, I came to find that we perpetuated history
Recycling moments across a timeline

The whole wide world is evidently hollow
And further depreciates in light of those whom we follow
As they enable delinquency
Amputate humanity
Appeal to the ghouls that dissipate the pillars of society
Poison the minds of the fools giving them notoriety
The living digest themes
Live for immaculate things
Which, in death, are never seen
In poverty, we conceive, consume, compete, abuse, retreat
And provide excuses merely to preserve what may not be perceived
Incarcerating the innocent
In the midst of voluntary ignorance
While ridiculed in the court of public opinion
Contradicting principles
Jeopardizing posterity
Incapacitating those exhibiting vulnerability
Decapitating innocence
Manipulating instances to favor their social agenda
In collusion with corporations
Assuming control of public consensus
At present day, corruption is eminent
The majority of men and women divert their attention to frivolous action
Until their human rights are converted to privilege
Only then do they abandon contentment
For fear is an incredible stimulant
Let us never forget this country was coveted by disingenuous immigrants
Blanketing deception with the semblance of genuine intent
In order to gain the interest of natives they would later rape and pillage
Afflicted with infection and diluted through non-consensual sex
By those who came to claim and occupy their villages
In current events, I notice a troubling resemblance
Made apparent by man-made pestilence, gentrification
And occupation of foreign nations
Manifesting a correlation between the past and the present
Which brings the future to question
Will we reflect on today to find nothing has changed

Once upon a time
I reflected on a period prior to mine
In retrospect, I came to find that we perpetuated history
The future is contingent on our state of mind

Recycling moments across a timeline
Once upon a time
I reflected on a period prior to mine
In retrospect, I came to find that we perpetuated history
The future is contingent on our state of mind

Following a detrimental path and approaching obliteration
Failing to counteract our perpetuation
Oblivious of definite depletion of initial abundance
By way of rapid consumption
Acting upon a covet
Proceeding with no regard for our potential
Eradicating a positive future
In a fatal pursuit of trivial material possessions
We languish in disarray
And willfully continue to be lead by our obsession
Abolishing contention
Embracing the bliss acquired through ignorance
And invested in feeling content
Leaning upon our perception
Advance in chronic misdirection
Misinformed and complacent toward the human condition
Fragmented and accompanied by social ambivalence
Our lack of lament is provided by indifference
Effacing what upon our survival is contingent
We gradually diminish
Subsequent to our conforming to consensus
Supporting the majority in guilting others out of opposing opinions
As a method of suppression of anyone in possession
Of an honest perception of our direction
Common systematic application of pacification
Employed for the purpose of neutralization
Of all voices in a position to impeach what currently stands
Having the potential to collapse the rule of man
Overcome with abundance of social injustice
Orchestrated under the guise of liberation
For the sake of inauthentic acceptance and validation
By way of representation
Using history to justify our situation
Persistently eluding personal responsibility
In our neglect of individuality
To perish collectively with a system
In a world that will eventually dissolve
Standing in anticipation of our downfall

Once upon a time
I reflected on a period prior to mine
In retrospect, I came to find that we perpetuated history
Recycling moments across a timeline

Recycling moments across a timeline
Once upon a time
I reflected on a period prior to mine
In retrospect, I came to find that we perpetuated history
The future is contingent on our state of mind

Doomed to fail
To govern yourself
Fighting for freedom
While oppressing yourself
Doomed to fail
To govern yourself
Fighting for your freedom
While oppressing yourself
