With a minor in self-destructive tendencies gone wrong
Top of my class in living so hopeless
But never high enough to snort coke with the Dean's List

Set the whole suburban upper middle class on fire
So what did I do there? I wrote a thesis
Took recurring nightmares and gave them a purpose
So while y'all were going out to mixers and hooking up
I was on the mixer in the studio cooking up
A musical middle finger to all that you call yours
A rich kid drowning out his problems in warm Coors
Tried to keep me there, but dammit I need more
Than a GPA to tell me what life's worth living for
So this goes out to every quiet Asian kid
Without a role model or a place to fit in
