नागेंद्रहाराय त्रिलोचनाय
भस्मांग रागाय महेश्वराय।
नित्याय शुद्धाय दिगंबराय
तस्मै न काराय नमः शिवायः॥
 
अर्थ (Stotra Meaning in Hindi):
नागेंद्रहाराय - हे शंकर, आप नागराज को हार स्वरूप धारण करने वाले हैं
त्रिलोचनाय - हे तीन नेत्रों वाले (त्रिलोचन)
भस्मांग रागाय - आप भस्म से अलंकृत है
महेश्वराय - महेश्वर है
नित्याय - नित्य (अनादि एवं अनंत) है और
शुद्धाय - शुद्ध हैं
दिगंबराय - अम्बर को वस्त्र सामान धारण करने वाले दिगम्बर
तस्मै न काराय - आपके "न" अक्षर द्वारा विदित स्वरूप को
नमः शिवायः - हे शिव, नमस्कार है
 
भावार्थ: जिनके कंठ मे साँपोंका हार है, जिनके तीन नेत्र हैं, भस्म ही जिनका अंगराग है (अनुलेपन) है,
दिशाँए ही जिनके वस्त्र हैं, उन अविनाशी महेश्वर "न" कार स्वरूप शिवको नमस्कार है।

He who has the king of snakes as his garland and who has three eyes
He whose body is smeared with sacred ashes and who is the great Lord
He who is eternal, who is ever pure with the four directions as his clothes
Salutations to that Shiva, who is represented by the syllable "na"

यक्षस्वरूपाय जटाधराय
पिनाकहस्ताय सनातनाय।
दिव्याय देवाय दिगंबराय
तस्मै य काराय नमः शिवायः॥
 
अर्थ (Stotra Meaning in Hindi):
यक्षस्वरूपाय - हे यज्ञ स्वरूप,
जटाधराय - जटाधारी शिव
पिनाकहस्ताय - पिनाक को धारण करने वाले (पिनाक - शिव का धनुष)
सनातनाय - आप आदि, मध्य एवं अंत रहित सनातन है
दिव्याय देवाय दिगंबराय - हे दिव्य अम्बर धारी शिव
तस्मै य काराय - आपके "य" अक्षर द्वारा जाने जाने वाले स्वरूप को
नमः शिवायः - हे शिव, नमस्कारा है
 
भावार्थ: जिन्होंने यक्षरूप धारण किया है, जो जटाधारी हैं, जिनके हाथ मे पिनाक (धनुष) है, जो दिव्य सनातन पुरुष हैं, उन दिगम्बर देव "य" कार स्वरूप शिव को नमस्कार है।
