When I was a young boy riding in a Dodge
Every Sunday my dad would always take me
A few short miles right up the road 
To Johnson's Dairy
There was homemade ice cream there early after church 
Sitting with family friends 
The simplest of enjoyments always to be had 
With the southern sun at our backs

Most all the land is sold from all the folks down here
