That bad days always seem to pull me back from where i work hard to go
The places where i get that thrill that takes me closer towards the skill
That can pull me beyond the life i live on the basement or the hill

You always seemed to help me through when i was feeling bad
Now when i'm feeling better suddenly the things we planned
Are just a drag that pulls me down towards the basement from where i've come 
And if i let you go i'll be climbing up the good day once again 

Since the skill i got from climbing up this hill came from myself 
Suddenly there's a point with blaming basement life on someone else
And you can play that part until i'm feeling bad and once i'm ill
The vulture takes me away again, on towards its den
