I noticed first, standing in the line
Furtive eyes briefly meeting mine
Took in your form, your face, your style
Hadn't felt something like this in a while
I moved in closer, tried to catch your scent
You moved ahead, judging my intent

Think what should I say as I approach? I make my way
Through the hectic dancing crowds. They pulse and swirl to the sounds
Behind the swaying of her hair she starts to notice that I stare
And as I begin to speak she puts her finger to my lips

Hey girl, you got me thinking things I know I shouldn't

My heartbeat quickens. Listen to a sudden movement
Feel the hot breath in the wind. Hairs stand upon my quivered skin
Tense up. Ready to run. Eyes meet a loaded gun
Thinking who will have their way? Am I the hunter or the prey?
