I found myself stranded in a place 
Where the light was erased
But darkness raced a place of blindness 
And a habitation of disgrace
No matter how hard i squinted my eyes 
I could not see anything in this place
A dwelling where everyone had a blank face 
No eyes no lips no nose no ears 
Just an oval space 
But why and how did i end up displaced

How did i get from the outer to the core 
What was the lure
Why were the walls spinning but not the floors
Why did the inside look like outdoors
How did the trees become a part of the décor
Although the surroundings appeared to be unfamiliar 
I felt it was a place i had visited before
And my mind state kept traveling through life

Then i found myself walking out of some double doors 
And stepping down a flight of steps 
Entering more doors
Subsequently entering a building 
With revolving doors
Stepping over slumped and lifeless bodies 
Sleeping on dirty floors
Clips of pictures of where i had been 
Began to dance in my head
A syncopated vision of all my deadly collisions 
All my deadly collisions and run-ins 
I was revisiting visions revisiting visions of 
My life of sin and although i was seeing 
The beginning i knew this could not be the end
And my mind state kept traveling through life

Trials tribulations and strife
Walking passed grounds filled with 
Fornication and crack pipes
Vials of empty water smashed 
Sherm and bags of weed laced with hash
Women and men selling their bodies 
Just for some trinkets and petty cash

To the cold i was cold cold as a cube of ice
But at times hotter than molten rock 
Oozing through a crack pipe

Hanging around pimps hustlers tramps 
Gigolos and whores drug dealers 
Gangbangers smokers and crack slangers
But once i accepted christ in my heart 
I went there no more
But, i still associated with my friends 
Who resided in those places within
No longer did i drink orange juice mixed with gin
No longer did i commit crimes but i still did a little sin
Cuz i was still fornicating 
No longer pushing those vials to my friends
To get a little ends continuing to feed them the sin
Thinking bcuz i wasn't using 
It was okay to give it to them
And my mind state kept traveling through life

Then i found myself in a calm place
Very familiar centered with the word 
And full of unlimited grace        
Then i began to see the vision of a face 
That had eyes lips nose ears 
All in place i followed the sound and  this face
To a place down a musical path that had
A trail of angels playing harps 
To guide me to the light 
Out of the dark listening to the angelic sound
Made me want to sleep 
Tears began rolling down my cheeks
Immediately as i began to weep 
I found myself running and running
Until i was almost outta breathe
I ran a little more and i ran a little more 
Until i had nothing left
Entered some double doors as i crept
Panting frantically with each and every step
The next thing i know i was laid out 
On the altar steps
Seemingly unconscious 
But no longer out of breathe 
I had departed from the depths of the pit of hell
And arrived to the house of the lord 
Were the saints dwell
And my mind state began to travel with christ
