But we didn't even realize there was a river
But we couldn't see, cuz our dreams were bigger

Artists and athletes, and all in between
Not to sit and work like a well oiled machine
We all know children want more
So lets think how we thought before

Said hello to the moon
We thought we could see it across the room
But turns out all we could see was a light
But that didn't stop us from trying to fly
And even though we still don't have wings
We still can try to reach for bigger things
Like trying to do everything that we love
And don't let the money rise above

We used to dream from the safety of a bunk bed
But those dreams ain't coming true its getting into my head
I keep on trying to lucid dream
But even if I could, there's a blank color scheme

Yeah, my dreams are black and white
But lately they've black as night
Yeah, I think could be the angle of death
But I don't think that its for me tonight

He's here for a memory
That I forgot about long ago
Didn't realize until it was gone
Cant know how quickly life will go

One day you're in the snow
Looking up at the sky
You look at all the clouds and planes
As they all pass you by
Passing time waiting until your grown up
Then you think you'll show up
think it'll all make sense
But now I wish it would slow up

You know I think I know it all so it don't even matter tho
The words I throw might not have all the wisdom in the world
But at least I don't throw away my words on someone else girl

And I know I am yet to see the worst of in life
I know there will be heartbreaks, and other sources of strife
But that don't mean that it once wasn't better
But if I said it wasn't good you know that would be a lie

I miss thinking I could sit in the clouds
I miss not having regrets about being loud
I miss thinking it was possible, everything I could see
I missing thinking I had it all, I miss having a dream
