One time in his life was too many for him
Just dropped a dime in the pen and he can't do it again
He never had any friends on the inside

So he hid in the back of the food supply room
And in the back of the kitchen he just laid low with the food
After lights out when they were lookin' for him
He jumped a guard from behind and used a fork to dig in

And dragged the guard into a corner where he wouldn't be found
He stayed that way 'till the dark turned to day
He took the keys and his gun and commenced the escape
Posted up where they brought in supplies
He jumped the driver and shot him in his eye
Then into the truck, he put the gun on the seat
Hit the key and mashed the pedal he was almost free
He sped towards the entrance where he was received 
10 years ago today, now he's about to be released
The gun's on the seat, he hit the gate a full speed
And he was down the road before they knew he achieved his

Now it's been a few years since he's been free
Been hiding up in the woods and killing rodents to eat
But the water's running dry and he needs some sustenance
He starts his way among the trees to try and find a residence
Or maybe a camper, anybody would do
It's amazing what you would do when you run out of food
With no fingerprints he's as real as a ghost
Just an enigma at most so better watch where you post
He's fully engrossed in the means of survival
A phantom in the woods and everybody's his rival
There's nothing but hate that's flowing through his veins
Wish he could go back to the life that we call "sane"
Taking out his shame on the people he finds
He lives off the dead bodies, he's out of his mind
And if you hear something behind you when you're in the woods
Better prepare to get out of there before you're gone for good and
