Dear mother, dear father
Dear sister, dear daughters
I'm calling you now to tell you I'm okay
And right now in SoCal
I'm making lots of friends
And I even got my own place to stay

No it ain't fancy
No it ain't huge
But I got love
I couldn't give to you

Well I'm wishing so hard that
I could've stayed
But it was then I knew I
Had to go away
See Daddy has memories
if killing other men
While stationed over in
Afghanistan

No it ain't fancy
No it ain't huge
But I got love
I couldn't give to you
