Flag your items with your nametag We don't want to take a chance that
You arrive unprepared Plenty of truth but none of the dare

There is only one reflection Mirrors don't provide protection
From the place that you are from Or the folks you will become

But it's not a plot device
This should make you think twice

You're a self-fulfilling prophet
You don't even know how to stop it
You're a self-fulfilling prophet
Off with your head and on with your outfit
Your belief is not divine
At least you've got plenty of time

Just be careful what you fish for Sometimes compliments can hurt more
Than barbs from kids at school Ah kids can be so cool (cruel)

You did everything to not be mediocre Is it any surprise that now you're the joker
In your own deck of Tarot cards From the rest of us, regards

But it's not a plot device
This should make you think twice

You're a self-fulfilling prophet
You don't even know how to stop it
You're a self-fulfilling prophet
Off with your head and on with your outfit
Your belief is not divine
At least you've got plenty of time

And all the requests for your absolution
Will be heard in the order in which we received them

But it's not a plot device
No, it's not a plot device

You're a self-fulfilling prophet
You don't even know how to stop it
You're a self-fulfilling prophet
Off with your head and on with your outfit
Your belief is not divine
At least you've got plenty of time
