First and foremost, let me say rest in peace to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and everybody else that we've lost during this epidemic of police violence This is a long standing problem and if y'all don't get it, you about to get it Just understand that black lives matter Listen Love thy neighbor, I think about this phrase often And honestly, all of this conflict, is exhausting That comes from my privilege, I can ignore this if I'd like to Like every other person on the globe that is white too That's the privilege, we don't have to live in fear We don't have to walk on egg shells just to be here We don't have to teach our children how to interact with cops Or how they might die during a fucking traffic stop We don't have to really care about injustice in the least We don't have to get on board with no justice, no peace We don't have to give a damn our neighbors dying in the streets But you muhfuckas mad cause Kaepernick took a knee It's sickening to me, and I really don't get it All you bitching about heritage, really sound pathetic You don't ever see the history in context in full But rather cherry pick the parts that make your narrative whole This is oppression, plain and simple, the evidence is clear George calling to his mother, nearly had me in tears It was the same with Tamir, cause I picture my own son In his place, just for playing with his air soft guns How can you see these fucking tragedies and shrug like it's nothing How can you see these people dying and not wanna do something You open up your bible but don't open your heart Understand that revolution is where the change starts I don't understand why white folks are offended When these systems are challenged, unless you're being complicit Black lives matter isn't saying more than you It's people of color saying that they matter too All of your Confederate flags and monuments to its generals Being removed from the public should be considered minimal The prisons overflow due to stigmas and racists Who'd rather lock up a black dealer, than lock up a white rapist White mass murderers are taken without harm While black suspects are shot as they hold up their arms If you don't see this is a problem then it's cause you don't want to And you deserve the heat when non racists come confront you To my people of color, you're strength's unmatched Know that many of us support and we're here to have your backs I stand in solidarity with my neighbors in minority We keep up the good fight, in the face of authority F*ck these cops with heavy hands, itchy fingers on the trigger F*ck anybody using that word that rhymes here It's no justice, no peace, that's the way it's gotta be Until we're all considered equal, there will be no defeat We see you, we hear you, we're coming to your aid We ain't letting anybody get in the way Only thing that's left to say is enough is enough Signing off, sincerely yours, it's 3ird, with love
