Friction makes my brain bubble up with blisters

People praying saying they love God but 
Hide behind hate

By believing in deceiving fears 
We walk in our own created demise 

Until we stop and look 
We book our next trip to the strip 
A blip in the drip of dreams 
Unable to flip the script 
Giving lip service to those in need 
Walking the path to pain 
Complaining about this and that 
Running from place to place 
Leaving a trail of tears in our wake 
Waiting to be saved because 
We made our haven into an imaginary place 
For only angels and saints 
We choose not to look

Vibration of limitation 
We should be walking tall 
In the sunlight of the spirit 
But we're living small 
Thank God for the woke 
Who spoke up 
To stoke and poke the fire 
Rising up to show that the

Crying out for love 
Their inner child sucking a thumb 
Frightened over what they have become 
The revolution of the spirit is won 
When silence isn't a violence 
But a place deep peace 
A temple in our hearts 
Giving thanks to That 
Which we truly are 

Look, we don't need books 
To find the mind is filled 
With pictures floating around like clouds 
Keeping you feeling shook 
You don't need em 
The light of the world is covered up 
By what we think we know 
Shoving away love 
We go with the devil we know 
Instead of the unknown 
May we honor the ones 
We lay to rest give strength 
And peace to the oppressed 
Bring tears as a shower

Rinse their minds 
Replace hate with 
Empathy, compassion, and grace

Redirect our course 
Back to oneness with the source 
Release beings from the belief 
That our thoughts are what we are

Let us depart from the illusion of being apart
