Once upon a time, on a cold winter morning In a world much like our own A tiny spark was released in the form of a small puppet This puppet was nothing out of the ordinary Just a humble marionette With a big wooden heart in a small wooden chest Throughout his early years He was taught to always follow a particular set of rules Most importantly to never disobey his master He was fed stories of horrors And told that these horrors were real Especially dangerous towards small puppets like himself If they didn’t do as they were told Of course, our small puppet was terrified Always with a steady grip around the strings attached to his body Clasping them so tight that his wooden fingers occasionally creaked But as he grew older He never saw any sign of these horrors Maybe because the master protected him Or maybe it was just a lie meant to keep him in line
