With a diction full of conviction like I’m Socrates

We lacking focus and I think it’s time we tighten up
Instead of asking if this ignorant cap we wearing tight enough 
It seems the paradigm shift wasn’t beneficial 
Everybody sounding like a rock moving like a tissue
Making moves that’s superficial

Now you having issues

From failures not an option I raised my conscious 
To a constant conflict with growth and time shift
I watch my mind shift stages like I’m turning pages

Sometimes I stop and think if I didn’t focus 
Would I really seem hopeless caught up in the hocus pocus
Of the 9 to 5 slaving dreading on the job training 
Thinking this reality you living or your minds framing
Focus is the main component in the place you holding 
Everybody claim they woke like it’s a special coding 
Need to stand tall in discipline instead of folding
Instead we looking like the walking dead in fancy clothing
Salute to the kings and queens groundbreaking
In the public eyes wit the scrutiny they daily facing
Imagine if that purpose was a cabin fever
There’d be more knee takers then agenda pleasers
Meanwhile trump in office tryna prove something 
I guess America just drooling on the snooze button
Until we get a handle on what’s broken
We gonna always have potential that we never open
Not bashing my country cuz we never hopeless
Just a ship with a captain who lacks focus
