Ignorance is bliss I think, as I sink deeper into this ocean of black ink
Trying to find a link between the darkness that is my mind and the mystery I call emotion
I blink one, two times as if to clear my mind
A pointless endeavor as the curse still abides

Oh my sweet curse
Well curved by time and polished by those that came before
Put on a pedestal that I strive to reach
And as I adorn the perceived beauty that is my prize
I bear the weight  that now drowns me in despair
But I ask, didn't I bring this upon myself?
Did I not want this?
Or did they make me believe I want this?

And I feel the oh so familiar tag. And the downward spiral begins
By now I've learnt how to hold my breath
No use fighting it, I have become it
My body stills as the waves come over me and the light dims
Moving further as I stop trying to reach

Ironic how I feel most powerless clad in what "wise-men" deem as power itself
So I close my eyes and embrace the one friend who always shows up
The cold washes over as he returns the embrace and pain floods my mysterious void
Expelling the love that once was
Love and pain, both of which came with the garment I gifted myself
But even though clothed, I feel bare
Even though enlightened, I'm blinded
And the question still lingers, what is the point of it all
