As a very young boy I was already curious Already questioning the unquestioned rules In fact I was kicked out churches and berated And suspended from both of my schools It was obvious to me that something was very wrong Why all this hellfire and burn? And why this annoying thing called Sunday school When Monday to Friday already imposed its turn When I was a young man married with beautiful children My questions were stronger than ever Now responsible for the creative experience Answers were the enlightening endeavour I read I watched I asked independent of the dogma Always critical of the unchallenged status quo The chip on my shoulder proved very beneficial As it allowed me free enquiry and growth Now I'm an old man and have spent a lifetime In thought provoking litigation The court of appeals has run out of its zeal And retreated to its own self serving dictation I arrive at this place in comfort after cause At the end of the day having done it my way Having lived a life looking forward to looking back I shall end in summation to say Life isn't the question in fact it's the answer The beginning the middle and the end Life isn't the problem in fact it's the solution The journey the return and the send Life isn't a contract in fact it's an offer The thirst the glass and the water Life isn't remote in fact it's integral Owned not by a landlord rather the squatter
