Chase

The band Chase was created in 1970 by Bill Chase, Ted Piercefield, Alan Ware, and Jerry Van Blair, all veteran jazz trumpeters who were also adept at vocals and arranging. They were backed up by a rhythm section consisting of Phil Porter on keyboards, Angel South (b. Lucian Gondron) on guitar, Dennis Johnson on bass, and Jay Burrid (b. Jay Mitthauer) on percussion. Rounding out the group was Terry Richards, who was featured as lead vocalist on the first album. In April 1971, the band released their debut album, Chase, which contains Chase's best-known song, "Get It On", released as a single that spent 13 weeks on the charts beginning in May 1971. I don’t feel
Anything
But pain I adore
And death is what I yearn for
Oh it’s what I want most
I know you feel
My
Heart
Beat
When I hold you close
Can you tell that
I
A
Adore
You
Like what I want most
What happened to you?
What happened to our dreams?
Seems that you’re stuck with him
Forgot about me
Just know that’s okay
I wanna see you win
But I’m stuck to this day
Alone with this hate and
I
I don’t know which way to choose
I’m kinda confused
I’m stuck in this generation
Where love isn’t love anymore
And I don’t get it no
Oh
We are hopeless romantics
Yeah
Between netflix and chill
We are lovers with passions
Yeah
Between “sorry I don’t love you anymore”
They go on
With their lives
And we’re stuck here
Here to cry
And we fell too much
I’m so confused
Oh I don’t know which way to choose
Yeah
Right or left
Or up and down
What to choose
Between here
Or stuck around
Which way to choose
Right or left
Or up and down
Which way to choose
I don’t fear
Anything
But darkness I adore
And sorrow’s what I yearn for
Oh it’s what I crave most
I know you
Feel
Your
Heart
Sink
When you see my name
Cant you tell that
I
Can
See
You
Know its whatchu fear most
What happened to you?
What happened to our dreams?
Seem that you’re stuck with him
And forgot about me
Just know that’s okay
I wanna see you win
But I’m stuck to this day
Alone with this hate and
I
I don’t know which way to choose
I’m kinda confused
I’m stuck in this generation
Where love isn’t love anymore
