As a kid, I was told being black in America get you 2 strikes 
Don't flirt with the third or a jail cell is where you do life
Or maybe 6 feet under 
Just depends on what you do to get that sentence 
Cuz you know they hate to see us winning 
We were never supposed to know who we are
Walk like we walk talk like we talk let alone read or write
They fed us lies
But our sacrifice and resilience keep us pushing forward
That's why they spread hate cuz we knocking down doors
Our unity is the greatest threat to a country that was stolen
Need to show it 24/7 not just a BLM moment
Spread love continue to fight the hate 
We gone be straight
Bcuz our love is what makes us great 
Despite what they say
And when it's all said and done, we'll be number one 
Might get A few bruises on the way but still got it done
It was written in stone that we'll make it
So, keep ya head up and ya fist too
Our unity will get us through

Like king I've seen the mountain top, so I know what to expect
It ain't a big check
But a future where our skin color gets respect
That we've been fighting for since the day they came to our door
Stepped on to the land and started making demands
Stripping the soul from a country without no remorse
They changed our course
Made us work to live and gave us old pork
Had us fighting for sport
But we got tired of situation
Forced the hand of a slave nation 
Lincoln gave the proclamation 
Now we got emancipation 
Tried to separate our rights 
But again, we stood up to fight
Killed our leaders cuz of fear 
They felt our rise was near
Prisons making profit off inmates doing years 
And some of those prisons owned by corporation's modern-day slavery is here
But when it's all said and done, we'll be number one 
Might get A few bruises on the way but still got it done
