Chocolates almost gone, just a few sleeps away
Nothing else feels familiar these days
No snow on the ground, no Santa at the mall
No mistletoe hanging from the shop wall

Usually by now I'd have lights on my tree
But life's been really hard so I've ignored some things
Usually I'd have my secret Santa picked
All my friends would squish into my tiny apartment

For the first time in our lives
Made snow globes with old jars
And toys we found around and acorns from the yard
Made ginger house from scratch and nah, it didn't break
Bonfires at the park, ate s'mores  until we ached
