Then suddenly the virus's here
The office danger zone
Thank god the boss is rational
Sends us to work from home

So everyone's confined by now
Don't meet, don't go outside
Complaints are great, protests arise
But I'll try to feel alright

I'm home and I like it
Don't have to drive to work
Can do it all from here instead
Of being an office jerk

Is how you see your pals
But only if they have the right

The shops are closed, no concerts played
All culture lies asleep
You have to see what's left to do
Before you cry and weep

Chilling on my couch
Watching non-stop netflix stuff
Until my back says ouch!

A second lockdown comes around
The winter's dark and mean
We try to keep our spirits high
Find nice things inbetween

Nobody's on the street at night
A curfew is in place
We have to stay inside instead
For most it's a disgrace

I'm home and I like it
Online at my desk
Playing all the games I want
That feels the very best

Smart microbiologists
Then finally get it done
Come up with vaccination stuff
And now the fight is won

I'm out and I like it
No more virus fear
We now can meet our friends again
