Around and round in figure eights
With so much more that I had planned
But this was only our first date

Eyes that took my breath away
Love sucked it right out of my lungs
I wish she'd give me mouth to mouth
And then maybe slip me some tongue

It's funny how my mind drifts back
To perfect innocence like this
That simple act of holding hands
That brought us both  the sweetest bliss...

First kisses and all those first loves
That fate allowed me to call mine
Sweet moments chased but now erased
Beneath the endless dust of time

Honey hair, like bright spun gold
Hot pink lips that she'd withhold
A face that I could live with
Till at long last, I've grown old
I've grown old...

Sweetly scented, soft and pure
The best first date that year I'm sure
A perfect gal I must concur
Yet still I suffered close to her
