Bad Manners are an English two-tone and ska band led by frontman Buster Bloodvessel. Early appearances included Top of the Pops and the live film documentary Dance Craze (1981). They were at their most popular during the early 1980s, during a period when other ska revival bands such as Madness, the Specials and the Selecter filled the charts. Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart between 1980 and 1983, and they also achieved chart success with their first four studio albums, with Ska 'n' B (1980), Loonee Tunes! (1980), and Gosh It's ... Bad Manners (1981) being their biggest hits. more »

When we were kids everything was simpler, none of this inter-web live-streaming virtual online faulting technology
We would climb a tree or build a raft that wouldn't float or steal some apples from the old man's tree

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
What the man of the cloth would say
Dog collars, fire and brimstone
Looking forward to judgement day

Spangles, lucky bags, 4 a penny blackjacks
Blew the lot on pocket money day
Desperate Dan, Bash Street Kids, Keyhole Kate and Numbskulls
Affected us in a most peculiar way

Staying out, climbing trees and building traps and hideouts
Then go home in time for chippums tea
Playing tricks telling jokes, play fighting with my brothers
This is what life used to be

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
What the men of god would say
Dog collars, fire and brimstone
Looking forward to judgement day

Spotted Dick, Artic Roll, Rhubarb and Custard
What we had for a special treat
We'd get a sweetie when visiting the dentist
Say AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

These were the days were the days, were the days
were the days of our lives

Mum would have a fag at the doctors
Summers were long and winters much colder with ice patterns inside the bedroom window in the morning
The birds would peck the milk bottles and poo in the milk but we'd still drink it and
there was always the four-minute warning

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
What the men of god would say
Dog collars, fire and brimstone
Looking forward to judgement day

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
What the man of god would say
Whist Drives, Jumble Sales, Lucky Dips, Tom-bolas
Looking forward to the judgement day

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
Is what the man in the frock would say
Dog collars, stockings and suspenders
Looking forward to the judgement day

Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers
What the men of god would say
Dog collars, fire and brimstone
Looking forward to judgement day
