You see I find myself chillin' staring at this wall
Trying to imagine what life will be like when it's all
Falling into place how I feel it should
Shook free of every broken part of me and my mental's good
No more anxious nights, of me just staring at my phone
Dry or not, I love me, so I'll journey on
No more dating apps trying to get someone's attention
Not until I fix me, oh did I fail to mention
I'm a penman pouring his heart out to anyone who'll listen
No different from anyone who feels locked in a mental prison
Difference is, I paint my words with a mental prism
Laced in metaphors, so you get high off these mental rhythms
Rolled between similes as bright as the sun
While the words burn smooth over the tongue
Inhale my knowledge like a father to son
And hold the smoke until our conscious one
Heed wisdom, from a mind that constantly runs
I've questioned my mortality in times past
I honestly think that's part of the reason why God laughs
When man plans, on expectation of time had
While utterly unaware of present time we have
You think with this in mind, father time would teach us well
To not end up as shells, battered versions of our former selves
But still we dance in mine fields like we're destined to dwell
Amongst blood of bad decision from previous Hells
So I find myself spending moments trying to fix my past
Till my present is past, missing the future I could've had
Lost my words, no longer know what to write within my pad

Truly the cycles only as stuck as the one within
A centrifuge of emotion powered from older sins
Our broken spirits search for someone who might have the cleanse
Unfair to say the least, but that's us looking through our broken lens
You see existence might be lonely, but living isn't
We search for heaven while on earth through dreams and apparitions
Caught between the facts of life or falling farther distant
So we tuck ourselves away from judgments of human condition
Our mental health's the thing that takes the hit, and stays hidden
You say, "It is what it is", but it really isn't
Knowing you must address the pain or fall father victim
To the prison of your mind where they don't cure the symptoms
The wall can be shattered, just know it can happen
If you stop living for your pain, live for your satisfaction
Don't get held within the past by mistaken actions
Stupidity is in abundance, imperfection happens
It's okay to fall short we aren't perfect creatures
But hold yourself accountable when you act weaker
And know that love and happiness aren't tied to certain features
You deserve it just as well, keep pushing on my dreamers
