Some mornings when I wake up I know immediately it's all about today
If the sun is really shining then I'm finding myself springing awake in a way
I only do on my birthday and on Christmas and on Easter when I was a kid
But today is my holiday and there's no way you're taking that away from me

I'm pretty sure that I'm in charge here and in the same vein there is nothing you could say to bring me down
And in a while I'll be smarter and I'll be stronger and really better than what I am now
I'm going up against a giant but I'm defiant so quitting is simply not allowed
