You looked at me the way I looked at the moon
So don't blame me for all the time it took
To let you go
Often times I accuse people for leaving
But I'm always the one telling them to go
It was the honey eyes and her honeycomb heart
That I fell for
She was so sweet
I would like to go back in time
And take back the parts of myself that I gave away
That I gave away
I have become quite the artist
Painting people the way I wish them to be
In so many colors or just black and white
Its only what my imagination craves to see, but you
When I close my eyes, you were there
In my dreams you came to visit
So I spoke, you listened
You told me not to worry
Everything will be okay
My eyes opened, just like that
You were gone again
You set me on fire and complained about the mess that I made
Our love got so hard but I could never seem to walk away

How many almost can I push away until one decides to stay
I have become quite the artist
Painting people the way I wish them to be
In so many colors or just black and white

I think of colors that don't exist
