The North Star was put in place, to guide us home
Sailing on the seas of mystery, and exploration
Condemnation: for those who do not listen
To the words that were said; on the day of the invention
On the day, of the suspension of the dead

The Dead: whose only violation had been
To scream for a reason, why
They cannot survive
Or dream of a little more bread
They sacrificed everything, so that
We might be fed, by the light of reason
By the source, of what is right and true
You know what to do, follow the North Star
It will take you far, but it will not take you all the way
That is left to you, to finish the job

Look into the past
Where everything lasts
And tell me what you see
There is a dream
That has not come to pass
Because sacrifices made
Depend on the choices
Of you and me

So do your best tonight
To come alive and fight
For the dream that we share
Is worth a harder plot
The soil on which we build
And the toil of our guild
Will not be lost in the dark
Or else everything will be lost
And all, will have been for naught
 
All it takes, is for one of us to find the way
To the heart of today, where the hearth
Is pumping, a black and poisoned stew

The disguise of indifference

Without consequence for our actions
That damn us all to this situation

And the insanity of people today
Leads us to believe that nothing can be done
And the way is lost, although
It was with us all along
Conscience is your friend
But my friend, it is so much more than that
I hope that you'll see, that it was essential
To our survival, in the end

To a sacred place here on Earth

For forgiveness, when they've done nothing wrong
Except try to sing, for justice to be done

The lives of the righteous ones, who died for being true
To the cause that was set forth before them
