Arokotoko 'Rokotoko Story of a traveler Young Traveler Let's get to the story story Let's get to the story story Back around the time Biafra That's around the time he was born in Arokotoko dance every morning Everybody really really loved him Back then he was living in Kano Him and all his siblings and Mom too All of them would sleep in single bedroom Uncle Tom was living in the next room Living in those times wasn't easy But Arokotoko had all his family All blessings through the time And he made it through the grind It was hard but never looking back Til tomorrow we will honor all of that God really really did that God really did finesse that (Yeah yeah he did) Aye Papa really did that He did that He did And it's true Arokotoko made it through Hard times Hard times Hard times He was a teenager went through hard times That was when Arokotoko lost Mom He lost Mom She was the one that gave him a true smile And she was the only one that did provide For the household He was 19 And he had no where to go from there now So he had to figure out To figure out He became homeless and jumping house to house He didn't know what to do His biggest hero was Uncle Tom but he already moved Uncle was a flight attendant he was always on the move Ever since a kid Arokotoko would look at the moon See a plane fly by and say "I hope you bring my Uncle soon... I hope you bring my Uncle soon 'Cause I want to travel too I want to be somebody too" Arokotoko had nothing to lose God told him to tie his shoes Me and you we got some work to do All blessings through the time And he made it through the grind It was hard but never looking back Til tomorrow we will honor all of that God really really did that God really did finesse that (Yeah yeah he did) Aye Papa really did that He did that He did And it's true Arokotoko made it through When he was 20 Arokotoko was living with Ebenezer He was not working He spent his time at church And he was practicing in the choir After practicing Everybody would be talking about their busy day they had prior He felt so lonely during those hours, yeah But there was this man named Mr. Peter Arokotoko was the only one that he would look for He even noticed how Arokotoko never had food So after the choir practice he took him to get food He was favoring Arokotoko even through the struggling He was noticing How Mr. Peter really took a favoring One night he was discussing With Ebenezer how this man was a blessing And he was telling him How he had made a plan to end the suffering He planned to make a business And ask of Mr. Peter if he'd be willing to invest (Yes sa!) The plan was such a success Arokotoko talked to Mr. Peter He took interest (Yes sa!) He took the money instead And went to make the company on paper And got well dressed He walked into the embassy And showed them all the papers that he made And then they processed And when he left the embassy He jumped up in the air Because the plan of God was success He looked into his hands And held on to the Visa And he cried with so much happiness All blessings through the time And he made it through the grind It was hard but never looking back Til tomorrow we will honor all of that God really really did that God really did finesse that (Yeah yeah he did) Aye Papa really did that He did that He did And it's true Arokotoko made it through
