My grandfather used to say back in my day
And I learned about life from the things he would state
Although I still feel a deep love for that man
Not all that he passed on will be something that stands

They forget that I grew up in smoke filled bars
And the haze that raised me made it very clear
Why some people do anything to fog up the mirror
