In 1992 when I was 6 months old I suddenly stopped breathing
Gasping for air begging for help I need seeking
Mama took me to the Toronto hospital for a meeting
To see if a doctor can help me, I was barely speaking
He said that I had mild bronchitis from my chest up 
Told me it wasn't serious when he finished my check up
I couldn't understand my mind wasn't fully developed 
Thankfully still alive, left the place and kept my head up 
Fast forward to 93, me and my mama
Took a trip to NYC it was blessed I seen 
Best sight-sees was Times Square, looking up my eyes stare
SOL, World Trade, traffic jams, right there
Went to visit Uncle John's home in the Bronx
We stayed for a week plus we roamed in the parks 
He had a big husky dog that I used to play with 
Plus a couple baby toys it was so amazing
When I left the house, I suddenly stopping breathing
Again gasping for air beg for help I need seeking
Mama took me to the Bronx hospital for a meeting
To see if a doctor can help me, I was barely speaking
He said that I had mild bronchitis from my chest up 
But there was something else he found after my check up 
I couldn't understand my mind wasn't fully developed 
He told me I should stay, and I didn't keep my head up 
Stuck in a room watching tv on a Plasma
The results came back that I have asthma
Throughout my life I had this condition it's odd to me
No wonder why the Canadian doctors didn't diagnose me properly 
My mama thought it was an allergic reaction
From the uncle's dog but triggered it off and that's what happened
I was suppose to leave that day but stayed for 3 weeks
The doctor said I have to get better till I see peace
Hooked on a Nebulizer, it was the best require
To help my breathing and some days I was stressed and tired
I was left here to suffer, plus was given a puffer
But everyday was given breakfast lunch and even supper
Uncle came to see me with presents and gifts 
My mama did the same thang with her friends and I wish
That I can leave this place A.S.A.P.
I just wanna live my life, yes indeed
I was the special baby taken care of from Canada
The nurses continually helped me increase my stamina 
When I was better they celebrated my recovery 
My room was filled with red and white flags, what a discovery 
I can't even lie this experience was crazy 
Who would of thought that I would stay here for a couple days G?
I'm here for a purpose, shoutout to the nurses
When I left they said, goodbye Canadian baby
