Time stands as still as a rainy day
Life lingers long like a child
Tapping near impassive at the tendrils there
Bowing to the moisture in the air

The northern wind creates a memory
Which no one else can ever share
It sings a silent song of imagery
To secret eyes that hear the song

His parents often went out after dinner for the night
He waved to them goodbye, as they waved to him goodnight
His faced pressed to the windowpane, his feet above the floor
