There once was a lady Deep in the arms of rest She sought something there Not something easily grasped like a hilt Nor something easily recognized as valuable like a gem But if not held as priceless It could be lost Long ago during the times of myth and lore When stories walked abound A fair lady came to the waters mystical With a quest searching Where can she find that which is needed most In order to save her kind? It had been revealed to her that she must go And speak with Wildwood For he's an old hermit, both gentle and wise And He knows deep secrets within He spoke of a time of rest and peace Found at the water's edge "For if we close our eyes and rest It's powerful enough to save the land From the dragon's hand" So she searched among the shore But as the time grew late she became sad She could hear Wildwood's final word "Listen to the waves crashing For only when you do will it be given to you Lay down all your cares by the shore Place them there. Do not take them up again Surrender all your thoughts to the waves" In her last efforts she heard them Though she was lost in sand and stone Their call was true and as she listened to Her path became quite clear For as the waves crashed a door Appeared opening the way for peaceful rest She walked and found what Wildwood said Not only did the waves wash away All worry and fear, she was given the strength to stand Against the dragon who had Raged across the land, with fierce roars and fiery breath This fair lady armed with time Of peaceful rest called down that raging dragon from the sky With a thunder's crash it landed before her With an angry blast it stomped around Then she reached out her hand And placed it on the dragon's head, its eyes opened wide A tear fell from its eyes as peace flowed through into His form from her hand It looked at her smile And was released from anger to its core The dragon found rest upon that shore
