This is was I wrote in my journal on August 15
Ya I just turned 19 so now I'm gonna start write for peace
Relationship feel through with the girl of my dreams
But I'm realizing now I fell in love with the fling
Dreams aren't always what they seem

You gotta look on both sides if you gonna play the game
After that I was conflicted I just wasn't the same
That girl she changed my whole mentality
But if it wasn't for her I would be so mad at me

I wouldn't have seen this path along the road I was head down
I'd probably be selling real estate in that farm town
I wouldn't have even started writing in the first place
I wouldn't have started jotting getting out of my headspace

So I guess to that girl this is a thank you
And I hope this is something you never forget to

I started writing because that's what my grandfather did
My grandma even gave me the journal he was writing in
It made me appreciate more of what he really did
Because I got to read about everything that he was thinking

It got me thinking more about what I really want to say
I want to leave an impact like the one he left on me
I want to change a person's day to day
By listening to me and praying to god that they can relate you see

I wanna dibble dabble into my life's background
I want you to know how I am the man I am now
I remember when my grandfather built me a ring
Then acted like it wasn't a thing

Back then I loved the hardy boys
They would jump off the top rope making noise
Now I'm making poetry in motion
It's my newfound love I'm hella devoted

I thought I started hella late
But I'm realizing now that life is long and it's not a race
You gotta go at your own pace
You gotta get out of your own way
And do what you love before you fade away

I know I'm young and have a lot to learn on the way
I hope my lifestyle won't lead me to an early grave
I hope everyone remembers the music I gave
I hope everyone remembers me
