There’s something I’ve noticed I don’t mean to make inferences
But it seems you and I have quite a few differences
Yes after our years of marriage and all that Jesus has done 
It’s still quite a wonder how God made us one
For example I’ve observed what you watch on TV,
Home decorating and lifetime thats just crazy to me
Any your viewing habits include lots of action
Police shows and football what dissatisfaction
Well you read all the time. You play music all day
But I read to learn. What’s wrong with the music I play?
You wake up at 4. And you sleep until 8
Well I need my rest. And I don’t want to be late
An our conversations, they can be quite slack
Because I like all the details? Just give me the facts!
And your idea of vacation, yeah lets see the country, lets roam
I say why go out in the sun with air condition at home
So we sought the Lord about our differences and all conflicts too
And God took those issues and He gave us both the best thing to do
We have learned to adjust, our outlook you see. 
Because when I sought God about you He first showed me-me. 
Your slow concise conversation, you just like to think about what you’ll say. 
You don’t mean any harm honey that’s just your way
And when you’re talking, God has given patience I’m listening I’ve heard, 
Even when you’re telling me a story that’s as long as God’s word
And occasionally, have you noticed, I’ll listen to sports talk with you 
And when you wake up early, sometimes I get up too.
God’s plan for our marriage is most important you know 
So we summit and laugh about it and just let some things go
Honey I’m so glad that God has made us one. 
Yes it’s been lots of work but it’s been lots of fun. 
In our marriage the Lord has really taught us to adjust 
That which was once so important is no longer a must
The answer is God’s way it’s not a big riddle
Just stay holy and righteous we meet in the middle
It’s not about who’s right, it’s not about who’s wrong 
Besides when you are weak then I get to be strong
So I now travel cheerfully and I can stay home and rest 
Because we can see each other’s point of view 
Now all our vacations are blessed
And I’ve come to like your music, John P. Kee and Fred Hammond too 
And I not only read more, now I’m reading to you
So to all the Christian marriages we love you it’s true 
And this small affirmation we offer to you. 
In marriage you will find differences so to avoid frustration and disgust, 
Always have a heart that is willing to adjust
