مالك

Malik, Maleek, Malek or Malyk (Arabic: مَالِك or مَلِك) (Urdu & (Persian): مالک) () is a given name of Semitic origin. It is both used as first name and surname originally mainly in Western Asia by Semitic speaking Christians, Muslims and Jews of varying ethnicities, before spreading to countries in the Caucasus, South Asia, Central Asia, North Africa and Southeast Asia where most users are Muslim. Several Semitic language traditions such as Hebrew and Aramaic use its homonym and other different versions of it. In Arabic, Malik (Malek) مَالِك means owner, and Malyk (Malyeek) مَلِك means king. Its homonym, though other sounding, Moloch also means king or lord in Aramaic (which also uses 'Malek' and 'Malik', as in Assyrian Neo-Aramaic), as does the Modern Hebr… more »

Living in a world of a constant struggle
Swimming around sharks it's hard to be humble
Blood is in the water
Get your bread they said
Money perpetuates the greed with death
And if I could touch the sky...
But I'm afraid to fall
I got my back against wall
With the bible in my hand
I'd be less of a man if I said, I read
...more than I did
Just a little coptic kid
Running outside of the grid
Walked the slums of""al sharia Abu Qir""
Seen the dogs, but no millionaire
To the E.14th's by my 16th year
Quick as the eye that blinks
Quick as the mind that thinks
All I wanna do is just....

(guitar solo)

Verse 2:
Dance to the sunrise
Floating Red Seas underneath a cloud nine
Painting in the sky with a fine line
Maybe we could fly if we only try...
But I'm afraid fall
Feeling like I got my back against the wall
Adolescent dreams
Seem to recall
Devil is in my ear like:""Give up completely""
Poppas in my head like:""yallah habibi""
Masri is the bloodline
Pita bread, hummus, five days of the lunch time
Before the retros
I had the velcros
Kid with the big nose and the ill flows
Bustin' raps in the hallway
Dreaming in class I could see myself all day
On THE BOX and MTV
Rap City and CMC, (Yee!)
Back when I had the neon green Huffy
Everybody wanted to just mean-mug me
Pops didn't play man... I'd rather go jail
Coming from a third world
Grew up with a sore tail
Coming to America, be damned if he'd fail
I used to inhale
Marijuana smoke
Whoever counted me out, couldn't count
The ESL they spoke was broke
Rapping for dummies
Concerned for monies
Disrespect the culture
You rats and vultures!
I shed blood for craft
Tears through the years
Sweat through the pores
With no souvenirs

Bridge:
That's what my heart keeps telling me
They're hating on my 'Love Jones'
Being on their Bellamy
Mad at my melody
All I wanna do is just spit my specialty
(repeat)
