If only we could see the fault in what we had done,
Then maybe we could join our minds and think as one.

Maybe you could have a chance,

And set the standard for those in time.

Accordingly, we could not see our failings yet.
Decidedly, what we truly feared, we met.
When we were done, did we miss for whom we prayed.
Was it someone that we killed along the way?

Now it's a possibility what we believed we'd never see,
