I woke up Monday
This week's gonna be crazy
And Zeke and Cloe already made a toothpaste design on
The bathroom wall and I get a phone call
Have I got the time to mail those pics I promised last year

Started Tuesday
I'm feeling blue-sy
Got three things done but twenty more, 
So get a move on
Haven't heard from Ralph-y
In near a week, he
Might be upset when he sees the grass has
Gone kaputz-y

Wednesday hits me
Didn't see that I'd be
Driving up to DC in a car 6 hours with Zeke and Cloe
And the passport office
Doesn't hold the prospect
Of being fun, better get things done,
I'm leaving soon, oh

My week's almost over
I've got all my paperwork
My POA, memorandum, applications - 
Which by the way
Took 6 tries to get right
It's almost midnight
Still got time to practice those old folks songs
For the 40's sing-a-long

Weekend goes by quickly
Poor little Zeke-y
He's got a cold, won't leave me alone
So one arm holds him while
I try to do some dishes
And pack for my trip
Hope I get some sleep 'cause this time next week
I'll be in Germany

But then on Sunday, Pastor B reminds me
These things don't matter
It's my heart and soul that the Lord is after
