I think it's clear
If it wasn't for God, I wouldn't be here
2022 I thank God for the new year
Still rapping over tracks with the same gear
That I used to use in 2015, man it's been 7 years
But God has been faithful
If I wouldn't mention that then I wouldn't be grateful
God has done a lot for me than I can even scribe
From my wife to my daughter man I thank God for my life
It wasn't an easy ride though
Lots of bumps along the road
I guess that's how we get to grow
Wish adulting came with a manuscript
I had to figure it out, piece by piece hoping the puzzle fits
And with less father figures
In this generation it's harder to get the picture
Of who we're supposed to be and instead of being better
We're busy chasing figures and missing the bigger picture
But it's how we're raised I guess
So unless we intentionally make a plan to change then yes
We will continue to go in this endless cycle
So make it your priority to be a better disciple
That's what I'm trying to do
Being a better me hoping for a better you cos
Real change starts with the man in the mirror
If you wanna make an impact you've got to start with the inner
Man, it's crazy
I get lazy
Then I remember I cannot let anything phase me
It breaks me
When I see someone losing their way
Losing hope, getting lost
When there's a message in the cross
A lot of people depressed nowadays
That's why I'm feeling so pressed nowadays
A lot of work in the field
A few labourers still
I'm gonna pick up my pen and fire away

I'm going to serve the living God until the day that I go
And I'm never gonna stop
Fire in bones won't let the temperature drop
Tim on the beat won't the track be a flop
Go MAD in my mind won't let me give up the fight
Cos I've got a lot to live for
Beyond me, this is ministry, I've got to do more
Not for me and definitely not for show
But if I can inspire hope in the hopeless then that's the goal
My gift wasn't given just to be hoarded
But be a blessing to both God and before men
I'ma use it to the end
Praising God with the pen
Until He comes back again
And that's the plan
A lot of things are clear now
Looking back on my journey I know why I'm here now
A lot of things didn't work the way I wanted
But if they did then they wouldn't be the way God wanted
I'm grateful for those closed doors
Cos God saved me from compromising my true calling
It's easy to be distracted
By the things that look so attractive
But in the end take you away from the things that you're meant to do
My life is not a mistake
Because I'm living in His grace
As long as God has the wheel
I'ma trust in His will
And leave it all in His hands to take me through
