Dear future me I hope you got your life together
Cause things right now seem very under the weather
And I know these situations will not be forever
But I don't see any progress things aren't getting better
But it's okay I'm learning to be patient take it slow
Learning to reflect on the times that I'm feeling low
And for me that happens a lot
Because I'm good at messing up the things that I got
It's not intentional I'm just not really good with feelings
And I never had the guts to face it
It's true I need a lot of healing
And I hope that you can understand it

I'd rather sit back on the corner sipping up bacardi
Then ever put my dependence upon anybody
Cause I learned nobody cares not a single one
And there's nothing that will change my mind
I'd rather end it all right her than live a life so blind
To the reality of fraud personalities
People who want acceptance will never get it out of me
Because if they don't care
Then I won't either
Isn't that the golden rule treat them how they treat you
I guess I'm focused way too much on others
Never giving myself time to ever recover
Was piling up more stress as if i was supposed to
And now i'm feeling very close to
Well I don't really want to say it
Don't want to speak it into existance cause it ain't my time yet
But I think you know just where i'm headed
Still trying to make my mind up to not regret it

Dear past me i'm glad you didn't
Cause now you get to meet the you who's always driven
By the very things you thought you'd never care about
Those people who did not care they're paramount
Plus there's now two new additions
Who were always part of the vision
A beautiful wife and two kids who follow right below her
It was a wonderful experience to get to know her
And get to know them
Your mom is proud
Cause you became the man I am the one who vowed
To be responsible
And get your goals completed
The actions of your father will never be repeated
I'm glad that you decided right
I remember those moments when it was hard to fight
But you overcame
Those thoughts defeated
And what's best you were never conceited
You took the long way
But it was well worth it
Congratulations man
You really earned it
So sit back
Relax enjoy
