Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga
Just take it easy with the salt (shit, that's too much)
It's heavy on the salt, my nigga
You probably feel it in your throat
Yeah, the salt is keepin' you afloat, my nig'
That ain't good, baby, that salt gon' itch ya
Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga

Yo
All these Bordeauxs from wineries and different type of spinaches
To charcoal grill octopus with all of the appendages
One thing they got in common is they all got salt inside
But you overdo it as a human, it become a problem
Now, I got a picture
Don't go too heavy tryna imitate us
Lowkey, we them niggas that they been afraid of
I'm a product of them benches
I give hope to niggas and creators
A breath of fresh air
You know they runnin' low on ventilators
And hospital beds
It's not a good time for you to be gettin' shot in the leg
So let that salt disappear out yo' heart, whoa-de-whoop
Nine outta ten doctors'll tell you
That too much salt'll really kill you

You may or not believe that spilling salt is bad luck
But there is one thing about it you better trust
Salt can be very dangerous for your health (get it out yo' blood, man)
Too much salt can bring you headache and fatigue
You're eating too much salt

Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga
Just take it easy with the salt (shit, that's too much)
It's heavy on the salt, my nigga
You probably feel it in your throat
Yeah, the salt is keepin' you afloat, my nig'
That ain't good, baby, that salt gon' itch ya
Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga

On the nightly news this evening
They not talkin' 'bout seasonin'
The lead story is towards that envy that you keep in
For them livin' and them breathin' just for bein'
Like, "Damn, Phil, no fan mail?"
You feelin' left out or somethin'?
Uh
You leave a one-star review 'cause they left off the onions?
That salt's not for me, Himalayan or kosher
You salty like crabs in a bucket out the ocean
You high, that's no beef stock, let it tenderize
Iodine, you just re-rocked, not crystalized
It looks the same, though
Stop the blood flow, it's bad timing
Now you yellin'
"They not takin' my leg," like Big Mama

Listen how they say it
You put on this Earth to make a difference
In a year, when you're on your deathbed and got life in prison
How you gon' do this out here?
So make your best off, feel me?
It's yo' boy
First of all, I'm an African

My father Kenny told me somethin' when you were born
It was a superstorm
That angels promised it'll rain whenever you perform
You not a horse, son, you a unicorn
Of course they wanna stick you in a uniform
Stand out, look 'em all in they eyes
F*ck the talk, put that salt on your fries
They'll try to rewrite history, and call it revised
Crossin' yo' T's, dottin' all of yo' I's
F*ck that shit, dance in their tears like O did for Lil Saint
What's a little rain?
Told yo' mama you a million-dollar baby like Hil' Swank
You already know who made the city shine
These niggas only used to pity facts and petty crime
Let these ashy-ass niggas live (Hahahaha)
One day, y'all get sick of it
The quick lapse, the slow bucks
Throwin' salt off the back of snow trucks
For dog coin and wooden nickels and sawbucks
Slow the salt up, nigga

What advice do you have for me at twenty-two years old?
Don't do it
Don't accept no wooden nickels

Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga
Just take it easy with the salt (shit, that's too much)
It's heavy on the salt, my nigga
You probably feel it in your throat
Yeah, the salt is keepin' you afloat, my nig'
That ain't good, baby, that salt gon' itch ya
Don't go too heavy on the salt, my nigga

When the force of the blood against our artery walls is too high
Life-threatening health problems can result
And the biggest disease in the world is called jealousy
