Alright so first things first I want to start off with asking
What is your name and what do you do
Um my name is Omari uh stage name I go by Offiliate and I'm just an all around artist really
You know self taught In everything that I do as far as you know
Writing lyrics poetry painting uh playing instruments
You know anything of that sort
What would you say Offiliate means to you
Um Offiliate
It's funny cause I actually uh went by Offiliate based off of definition
Um you know just being a part of something or affiliated with something
Or a group bigger than yourself
And with that being said
The group that I feel like I'm a part of or that I'm an affiliate of
Are the people who have a voice that needs to be heard you know
Or people who been through things and don't know how to express it yet
Or haven't found a voice to express it yet
Because I been through that myself you know
And I use my art to kind of paint the picture for me
Ok and for my last question I want to ask you
What do you find or what have you found in music
Um in music
I would say another outlet
Um really because even with all the things that I do
Sometimes I still have to switch it up
Uh for example
Like some days I might not be able to express myself through visuals or painting
So I might choose to write or record a song that day
And express myself through vocals vocally
Or you know I might choose to play my Instruments
And express myself sonically so
Yeah it's just another outlet
And you know it also helps me reach out to other people who also use music as an outlet
