Blisters on my right hand thumb and indents on my fingers
A buzzing hum consumes my mind and it lingers
A euphoric choir of plucking fills the room
And suddenly ideas in my head start to bloom

You might wonder why I lay and write
My ceiling discerns when I am wrong and when I'm right
Rugged ridges reveal answers like the clouds
I wonder how they do it, surrounded by crowds
Like being drowned

My mind starts to wander when I need it the most
Like lightning is to thunder but I'm the lamppost
It's almost as if I've never even come somewhat close
To being the person I want to be the most

Ringing engulfs my body inspiring me to say
Things I've never said before without any delay
Intrusive thoughts unsettled in my head
Ready to be filed away on each and every fret

And even if it's just for me
A leaf has fallen from my "worries" tree
And when it wavers slowly to the ground
That one doubtful leaf won't be found
One by one my worries slowly fade away
Little by little, away
