I got SD cards
Full of memories
And it's forever hard for me
To ever see them
Cringing think they don't represent me
Some of them I've never seen
I'm just letting it be
As I keep filling more up think eventually
I'll make something from them
It's okay if they just turn to dust
I got journals on journals
It's hard for me to search them, the words don't
Feel like me, I'm always changing
Leaving the past in the proper placement
Living right with the clock arm
In the moment I don't need to contemplate it
Why you trying to capture shooting stars
Instead of admiring the constellations
Life finds a way to get complicated
All the days that I'd jot these pages
I always thought one day I'd
Reflect and think that they all were great
Maybe enough time ain't passed yet
At 80 I'm sure I'll feel a tad blessed
To have them, if I make it
With the climate and capitalism
Nihilism happening is hapless
I get too high can't find me on MapQuest
Glad I stuck to weed, but tryna quit is madness
I get like a week and get tired and sad, stressed
Want to numb myself again my mind is a mad mess
I got a phone full of photos
That I rarely go through
Leave the past where it's suppose to go
And it all just feels like old news
And I don't want to see you
Sad that's directed at a few
But there's also some friends in their too
Been a while since we kicked it, wonder if we're cool
I got a heart full of cherished moments
Some that I'm embarrassed of but all of them I carry close
There's always time to make more memories
To look back at merrily when old
