I never speak on behalf of things I don't know about
Distorted viewpoints of what I thought I should gloat about
I only did it, cuz nobody ever showed me how

Cause I'm authentic, and I spit from the heart
Tryna inspire through the experiences I've lived and endured
I've been through the mud but intentions are pure

The rate of our success is determined by the choices we choose
Don't get yourself in situations where you can't tell the truth
Just be yourself even if that means being alone
True friends encourage when they're seeing you grow
And don't try and lead you in wrong directions

Don't let negativity feed on your soul

This misconception and perception that societies made
To compare your life to others
Really makes my anxiety raise
When I'm in private, I don't like it how I silently scream

Instead of rapping about shooting guns and using drugs
It's more like, you are supported and truly loved
The more I grow the more my past is affecting me less
I'm adamant about choosing what my trajectory says
Step back, examine
The life you were handed
Be the change of your family
Work hard and you can be
Use the positive attributes to the best of advantage
I've lived a hard knock life, access was never granted to me
But I'm the one that planted the seed
And was called the loser but refused to accept the defeat
